- Small pieces of paper (one marked for the winker, one for the detective)
How to play Wink Murder
- 1Fold a slip for every player. Mark one “W” for the winker and one “D” for the detective. The rest are blank.
- 2Everyone draws a slip in secret. The detective reveals themselves and stands in the middle of the circle.
- 3Everyone sits and looks around the circle. The winker secretly winks at people to knock them out.
- 4Anyone who's winked at waits a few seconds, then dramatically “faints” out of the game.
- 5The detective has three guesses to name the winker before everyone is out.
Variations
- No detective: anyone can make an accusation, but a wrong guess puts you out.
Tips
- Winkers: wait until the detective is looking the other way, and wink at people across the circle.
