How to play Sprouts
- 1Draw a few dots on paper. Three is good for a first game.
- 2On your turn, draw a line between two dots (or a loop from one dot back to itself), then add a new dot somewhere on that line.
- 3Lines can't cross each other or themselves, and no dot can have more than three lines touching it.
- 4The player who makes the last possible move wins.
Variations
- Misère: the player who makes the last move loses.
Tips
- Each game with n starting dots lasts at most 3n − 1 moves. Count to plan ahead.
