How to play Simon Says
- 1One person is Simon and holds the phone. Everyone else stands facing them.
- 2Simon reads each command out loud, exactly as it appears.
- 3If it starts with “Simon says”, everyone does it. If it doesn't, nobody should move!
- 4Anyone who moves on a trick command, or doesn't move on a real one, is out.
- 5The last player still in becomes the next Simon.
You're Simon
Read each command out loud. Players only do it if it starts with “Simon says”. Anyone who moves when it doesn't is out!
Variations
- No elimination: players who slip up do a silly forfeit and stay in, which suits very young kids.
- Auto mode: set a new command every few seconds so Simon can play along.
Tips
- Do the action yourself as you read every command, including the trick ones. That's what catches people out.
