How to play Reversi

  1. 1The game starts with four discs in the middle, two of each colour. Black moves first.
  2. 2Place a disc so that it traps one or more of your opponent's discs in a straight line between it and another of your discs.
  3. 3Every trapped disc flips to your colour, in all directions at once.
  4. 4If you have no legal move, you pass. When neither player can move, the game ends.
  5. 5Whoever has the most discs on the board wins.

Variations

  • Handicap: give a newer player one of the four corners at the start.

Tips
