How to play Hot Potato
- 1Sit in a circle and tap Light the fuse.
- 2A category appears, like Animals. The player holding the phone names one, then passes it to the left.
- 3No repeats! Keep passing as fast as you can as the ticking speeds up.
- 4When it goes BOOM, whoever is holding the phone loses the round and takes a letter.
- 5Spell P-O-T-A-T-O and you're out. The last player standing wins.
Don't get caught holding it
Name something in the category, then pass the phone. When the potato blows, whoever's holding it loses the round.
Variations
- Stuck rule: if you can't think of an answer in three seconds, you have to keep holding it.
Tips
- Hand the phone over gently. A potato is not a frisbee.
