How to play Checkers
- 1Each player starts with 12 pieces on the dark squares. Red moves first.
- 2Move one piece diagonally forward to an empty dark square.
- 3Jump over an opponent's piece into the empty square beyond it to capture it. If you can capture, you must.
- 4If your piece lands where it can jump again, it keeps jumping in the same turn.
- 5Reach the far side and your piece becomes a king, which can move and capture backwards too.
- 6Win by capturing all your opponent's pieces, or leaving them with no legal moves.
- Red: 0
- White: 0

Variations
- Giveaway: the first player to lose all their pieces wins. Everything else stays the same.
Tips
- Keep your back row filled as long as you can. It stops your opponent from crowning kings.
